Tottenham Hotspur summer target close to extending his contract with Wolves

This summer, Tottenham Hotspur had aspirations of improving its attack, and one of the names they targeted was Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Adama Traore.

The north London-based club had hoped to reunite the Spain international with manager Nuno Espírito Santo; however, no deal occurred.

Now, if Tottenham was hoping for Traore to not extend with Wolves, therefore, putting them in a position of needing to sell, those hopes could be dwindling. According to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old is close to signing a new contract with Wolves.

The report states that Traore’s new deal would see him earn closer to the highest earners at Molineux, Raul Jimenez, and Joao Moutinho, who collect about £100,000 a week.

If the deal becomes official, Tottenham will need to look elsewhere as they look to improve the attack, whether it be in January or this summer with the squad being molded by Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici.
