Tottenham hold advantage in the race to sign 20-goal Man United target

Tottenham have an advantage in the race for Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri amidst interest from Manchester United.

Youssef En-Nesyri is expected to be on the move in the upcoming transfer window and Premier League is the most likely destination for the Moroccan international. Manchester United are one of the clubs keen on signing the Sevilla star but according to a report from El Mira, Tottenham have an advantage in the race for his signature.

The report states that Sevilla are keen on Bryan Gil and therefore they would prefer to deal with Tottenham so that the two parties can work out a deal that benefits them both.

En-Nesyri hasn’t looked back since making the move to Sevilla and his consistent performances have resulted in a lot of interest. Last season, the 27-year-old found the back of the net on 20 occasions and he even had three assists.

While he is an integral part of their first team, his departure in the summer is almost certain with just a year left on his deal. Sevilla are unlikely to risk losing out on him for free in 12 months, as a result, they are willing to sanction his departure for a fee of around €20 million.

The Red Devils want to bring in a new number nine in the summer, someone who can support Rasmus Hojlund up top. They feel En-Nesyri is a perfect fit for them and have been tracking him for months. Manchester United are all set to make a move in the summer.

The North London club want to sign a striker who can lead their attack next season and they feel the Moroccan international could be ideal for them. He could easily slot into Ange Postecoglou’s system. He has the physical and technical attributes to thrive in English football as well.

Meanwhile, it has not worked out for Gil in North London and a return to his boyhood club could help him get his career back on track.
