Tottenham have trio on their radar as Conte looks to improve key area of his squad

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of defenders in recent months.

Antonio Conte is looking to bring in defensive reinforcements at the end of the season and a report from Daily Mail claims that the London club are keeping tabs on Alessandro Bastoni, Milan Skriniar and Josko Gvardiol.

Skriniar and Bastoni have already proven themselves as top-class defenders with Inter Milan and Conte will know all about them having worked with them during their time together at the Italian club.

Meanwhile, Gvardiol has developed into one of the most promising young defenders in world football and he was exceptional in the recently concluded World Cup with his country.

All three players could prove to be excellent acquisitions for the Premier League club and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can secure their services in the coming months.

Apparently, Spurs are hoping to sign two centre-backs at the end of the season. Cristian Romero is the only reliable defender at the club right now.

Tottenham are unlikely to be the only club looking to sign the aforementioned defenders and they are likely to face extensive competition for the three players.

Meanwhile, Spurs will have to secure a top-four finish in order to stand any chance of signing these players.

The trio will not want to join a club without Champions League football and even then, the London club might need to shell out a considerable amount of money for these players.

Meanwhile, Skriniar has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and there are rumours that he has already secured a pre-contract agreement with the French club. However, there hasn’t been any official confirmation of the move and the player continues to be linked with other clubs as well.
