Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the New England Revolution midfielder Noel Buck.
According to Alasdair Gold, the North London club have ‘shown interest’ in the 18-year-old central beer, and he is likely to be available for a fee of around £6 million.
Tottenham are looking to build a formidable squad for the future and it is no surprise that they are keen on signing the England under-19 international.
Buck could prove to be a long-term acquisition for the Premier League side and he will add depth and quality to their midfield. Tottenham need more options at their disposal. The 18-year-old could develop into a key player for them with the right guidance.
The reported asking price seems quite reasonable for a player of his potential as well and he could easily justify that investment in the coming seasons. The transfer could even look like a bargain if the midfielder manages to carve out a place for himself in the first team squad.
The midfielder is likely to be excited about the possibility of playing for a big club like Tottenham and it would be a major step in his career. However, he has the technical attributes to do well in English football and Ange Postecoglou could help him improve further in the coming seasons.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham follow up on their interest with a concrete proposal to sign the midfielder in the coming months.
