Dusan Vlahovic is fast becoming the most coveted signing for the upcoming January transfer window.
The Fiorentina striker is on fire and three clubs, Juventus, Tottenham and Arsenal have regularly been linked with the 21-year old.
Italian news outlet CalcioMercato has reported today that Arsenal will be tabling an €85m offer for the Serbian, however, he is set to turn them down.
The reasoning is simple it seems, he just does not fancy a move to the Emirates, there is no connection there for him and he apparently has his heart set on a move to Juventus (TMW).
The problem for the Bianconeri is that they are broke, they are even struggling to tie Paulo Dybala down to a new contract, one which is fast running out and the chances of them being able to lay down €85m is almost zero.
Fiorentina is not interested in a loan to buy option, it is straight-up cash they want.
Now, Tottenham has been linked extensively with Vlahovic and they appear to be in a good position to pull of this transfer (Marca).
The lure of Antonio Conte and with Fabio Paratici leading any attempt to sign the young hitman puts Spurs in an excellent position, they also can splash €85m if that is what it will take.
Of the three clubs, it is clearly Tottenham that sits in pole position, of course, Vlahovic may play hardball and insist on a move to Juventus in the summer with the threat to Fiorentina that he runs his contract down and sets off to Turin on a free transfer.
That said, Conte, Paratici and money must be an attraction for the young Serb and Fiorentina are willing sellers.
He’ll go to City instead of Kane since he’s only 21 and much cheaper and in better form.
Looks a genuine goal scorer in a rich vein of form, he will cost serious money whoever buys him.
Where have you read that about the Arse?.. According to Romano, Arsenal haven’t been in talks and no bids been made from them.. I have read that Juve and us are frontrunners. That Fiorentina would rather sell to us than a rival. That Conte has targeted him as first choice.. I have no idea what’s true or not. It will boil down to where the lad wants to go I think. A good few clubs are going to be interested.
Sounds more like Arsenal have one big advantage over Spurs: namely that they are prepared to pay €85m
Could barely see us offering half that.
