Tottenham Hotspur are interested in acquiring the services of Viktor Tsygankov.
The North London club are looking for ways to further bolster their squad ahead of next season and they have their eyes set on Girona star Viktor Tsygankov. According to a report from AS, Tottenham have the Ukrainian international on their agenda for the upcoming transfer window.
Tsygankov came up the ranks at Dynamo Kyiv and made a name for himself while playing for their first team before making the switch to Spain in the winter of 2023. The 26-year-old has only gone from strength to strength since joining Girona and his impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed.
During the Spanish club’s incredible run in the 2023/24 season where they secured Champions League football, the Ukrainian forward contributed towards 15 goals (8 goals, 7 assists) in his 34 outings. The right-winger’s consistent performances have put him on the wishlist of multiple top clubs and Tottenham are one of them.
The North London club are seeking more depth on the flanks and the 26-year-old could be an ideal fit for their system as he is a complete package. While Spurs are keen on his signature, they are not going to find it easy to sign him as Tsygankov is not going to push for a move away from the club.
His contract might run until the summer of 2027 but there is a €30 million release clause in his deal which could lead to an early exit. While the Spanish club wanted to get rid of the clause in the winter, the player was focused on the task at hand and he is now busy gearing up for the Euros. He has Champions League football at his disposal at Girona, something that Spurs can’t offer at this point, making a deal difficult for the North London club.
