Tottenham have ‘concrete interest’ in 21-year-old PL ace who is a top target in January

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham have ‘concrete interest’ in signing the 21-year-old Premier League defender and they could look to make a move for him in January.

The report claims that he is a top target for the North London club, but Everton are unwilling to sell him any time soon. Apparently, Everton will look to reject any approaches from Tottenham in January for the 21-year-old defender.

Branthwaite is highly rated at the Merseyside club and he has a big future ahead of him. It is no surprise that Everton want to hold onto him.

The Toffees have had a mediocre campaign so far and selling a key player would be a poor decision. They are very much in the relegation battle after the points deduction and poor decisions in the transfer market could see them drop down from the Premier League at the end of the season.

Branthwaite is a key player for Everton and they need to hold onto him in order to secure Premier League safety.

As for Tottenham, Micky van de Ven is currently sidelined with an injury and they need to bring in a quality replacement. The 21-year-old Everton defender would be a solid, long-term investment for them and he could develop into a key player for Tottenham with the right coaching and guidance.

It remains to be seen whether they can convince Everton to change their stance with a lucrative offer.
