Tottenham have ‘asked for information’ regarding 24-yr-old, ‘requested’ a meeting with attacker

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing the Galatasaray winger Kerem Akturkoglu.

The 24-year-old has been in fine form for the Turkish outfit this season, scoring five goals and picking up seven assists across all competitions.

A report from Aksam claims that Premier League clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are keen on the player as well, but Spurs have stepped in to secure his services. Apparently, the North London club have contacted the Turkish club and they have ‘asked for information’ regarding the player. They have also ‘requested’ a meeting with the player and it remains to be seen whether Galatasaray are prepared to grant them the permission.

The 24-year-old is highly rated in Turkish football and he has a big future ahead of him. The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be an attractive option for the player and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham follow up on their interest with a concrete proposal to sign the player.

Spurs could certainly use more depth in the attack, especially with players like Richarlison failing to perform at a high level. Akturkoglu will add goals and assists in the final third and he could be an asset for Ange Postecoglou.

The 24-year-old is likely to improve further with coaching and experience, and he could develop into a key player for Tottenham in the coming seasons. The player is versatile enough to play anywhere across the front three and he could be an asset for the North London outfit during injuries and rotation.
