Tottenham gets striker boost after potential move collapses

Italian journalist, Alfredo Pedulla reports that Tottenham will be having a conference call with the agent of Arkadiusz Milik today in a bid to take advantage of his collapsed move to AS Roma.

Milik has been a long-term target of Spurs, but sensing that he will not play often, he preferred to make a move to Roma.

The Romans were set to sell Edin Dzeko to Juventus and Milik was simply lined up as a replacement for the former Manchester City striker.

But that arrangement spectacularly fell through after Juventus made a move for Alvaro Morata, instead.

The implication of that is that Roma will most likely keep Dzeko and Napoli will have to look for another team to take Milik off their wage bill.

Spurs are now back in the frame and the Lilywhites will hold talks with his agent over a move to North London today, Pedulla claims.

Spurs have been his long-term admirers and they have renewed their interest in the last few hours, he claims.

He also added that the Italians, who want 26 million euros from his sale, might reduce their asking price so that the deal can be done this summer.
