Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the Bundesliga midfielder Manu Kone.
The 22-year-old has done quite well in the German league with Borussia Monchengladbach and his performances have attracted the attention of the Premier League clubs.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Tottenham and Liverpool are following the 22-year-old closely and it remains to be seen whether they follow up on their interest with a concrete proposal to sign the player.

It is no secret that Tottenham need to bring in midfield reinforcements, especially during the January transfer window. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with the move away from the club and Rodrigo Bentancur is currently sidelined with an injury. In addition to that, players like Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr will be away on international duty for a month during the African Cup of Nations.
It is evident that Tottenham are lacking in the midfield right now and signing a quality midfielder should be a top priority for them next month. They should look to bring in a quality central defender as well.
Tottenham started the season well but their form has dipped in recent weeks because of a number of injury problems. They will need to cope with the absence of their key players better if they want to finish in the Champions League positions.
Kone will add physicality, technicality and defensive cover to the side. He is capable of operating as a defensive midfielder as well as a central midfielder. The Frenchman could be the ideal alternative for Hojbjerg if he leaves the club.
