Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly setting their sights on Borussia Dortmund’s exciting young winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, with plans to pursue him next summer, according to Football Insider.

The 20-year-old has attracted attention from several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Chelsea, thanks to his standout performances in the Bundesliga.

Despite Bynoe-Gittens’ current contract running until June 2028, Dortmund are reportedly ready to give the green light to selling him for the right price. Renowned for developing young talents, the German club could cash in on the winger, allowing Spurs to make their move as they aim to reinforce their squad with dynamic, high-potential players.

This comes after recent reports claiming that scouts from the North London club, Chelsea, and Liverpool have all been in attendance to watch the exciting attacker play for the German club.

Gittens, who spent time in Manchester City’s youth system before joining Dortmund in 2020, has rapidly developed into an important figure at the German club. His early years were hindered by injuries and the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, but he eventually made a breakthrough in the 2021-22 season.

It was during that season that Gittens’ performances in the UEFA Youth League drew attention, leading to his Bundesliga debut in April 2022. He continued his upward trajectory, scoring his first Bundesliga goal in August 2022.

His ability to deliver in high-pressure situations, such as his two goals during Dortmund’s 2024-25 Champions League opener against Club Brugge, has earned him a reputation as one of Europe’s most promising young wingers.

This season, Gittens has already made a strong start, scoring four goals and providing two assists in just nine appearances across all competitions. Since breaking through in the first team, he has scored 9 goals and 11 assists in 67 games across all competitions.

His dribbling skills, pace, and clinical finishing make him a highly attractive option for Tottenham as they look to add more firepower and depth to their attack.

While several top clubs are also interested in securing Gittens’ services, Spurs’ ambition to build a squad full of high-potential talent could motivate them to make a serious bid for the wide forward next summer.
