Tottenham is extremely ‘confident’ of agreeing on deal with £200k-a-week star

Tottenham have reportedly become ‘more confident’ that Harry Kane will extend his contract with the club according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.

Ever since Bayern Munich’s CEO Oliver Kahn and manager Julian Nagelsmann have publicly admitted their interest in Kane, speculations regarding his future has surfaced in the news. With just 2 years left in his contract and no news of contract extension talks, there have been concerns among the Spurs fans.

However, Kane who tried to push for a move to City last year is reportedly happy at the club under Antonio Conte. Spurs are in a much better place compared to last season so it’s understandable why Kane is looking forward to the next season.

According to Alasdair Gold, Harry Kane is ‘open’ to talks, and Spurs are expected to hand him a new contract. Alex Crook believes that having Antonio Conte as the manager and playing in the Champions League next season are two factors that has left Spurs confident that the striker will sign a new contract with the club putting an end to all specualtions.

Crook told GIVEMESPORT:

“I think they are more confident because of Antonio Conte and the fact they’re back in the Champions League.”

As exciting as this is, it is still possible that if Tottenham fail to win silverware in the coming season, Harry Kane will be motivated to leave the club. With the striking quality he possesses, and the numbers he has racked up, he would want to end his career with trophies under him and if the likes of Bayern Munich come for him, he could end up leaving.
