Tottenham enter the race to sign 16-goal star who will cost £25.7 million

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia.

The 26-year-old Senegal international has done quite well for the Italian club this season scoring 16 goals and picking up 6 assists across all competitions.

It is no secret that Tottenham will have to add more depth to their attack and Dia could prove to be a quality acquisition.

The striker is currently on loan at Salernitana from Spanish club Villarreal. However, the Italian outfit have the option to sign him permanently for a fee of around €12 million and they are ready to exercise that option.

Salernitana are open to selling him this summer and they would demand a fee of around €30 million (£25.7 million) as per reports (via SportWitness). It is evident that they want to make a significant profit on the player.

Tottenham certainly have the resources to pay that kind of money for the striker and it remains to be seen whether they can get the deal done.

The Salernitana striker has the physical and technical attributes to thrive in English football and he could compete with players like Richarlison and Son Heiung-min for a starting birth.

The 26-year-old striker can operate as a winger as well and his versatility will be an added bonus for Tottenham next season.

Harry Kane has had to carry the Spurs attack all by himself this season and the England international needs more support next year. Signing a quality attacker should be a top priority for Tottenham.
