Tottenham Hotspur are looking to reinforce their midfield in the winter transfer window.
They are keen on acquiring the services of Jobe Bellingham and have been monitoring him for a while now according to a report via Football Fancast.
Bellingham came through the ranks at Birmingham before joining Sunderland ahead of the ongoing season. The 18-year-old midfielder has featured in a total of 16 Championship matches and has contributed towards four goals as well.
He has been a consistent performer for the Black Cats since arriving at the club and his impressive performances have resulted in a lot of attention from across Europe. Quite a few top clubs are keen on acquiring his services and there could be a bidding war for him in the winter transfer window.
Spurs are one of the clubs keen on having him in their ranks. The London club wanted to sign him last winter when he was at Birmingham but they could strike a deal for his services. They still remain interested and could make a move in the upcoming window.
Tottenham were off to a flying start in the new season and one of the reasons for their dream star was the exceptional performances of their summer signing James Maddison who had arrived at the club for a fee of £40 million from relegated Leicester City.

As a result, they are looking to reinforce the midfield and are keen on adding Bellingham to the mix. The 18-year-old is capable enough to feature as a central midfielder as well as an attacking midfielder just like his brother Jude Bellingham who plays for Real Madrid.
The Sunderland midfielder has huge potential and given his recent form, he could be a great addition to their ranks. He can help them cope with Maddison’s absence and eventually, he could even surpass the former Leicester City midfielder.
