Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on the Argentine midfielder Ezequiel Fernandez.
According to a report from Boca Noticias, Tottenham are ‘eager to sign’ the 21-year-old defensive midfielder at the end of the season.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to submit an official offer for the player in the summer.
There have been surveys from the Premier League club for the Boca Juniors midfielder in recent months. The report further states that Tottenham are ‘willing to go all out’ for him.
The 21-year-old is a defensive midfielder who will add protection for the central defenders and help Tottenham break up opposition attacks in the middle of the park.
The north London outfit have players like Yves Bissouma and the Pape Matar Sarr at their disposal but it seems that they are looking to add more depth and quality in the middle of the park.
Fernandez has a contract with Boca Juniors until the December of 2025 and he could be available for a reasonable price at the end of this season. The Argentine club will not want to lose him on a free transfer next year and they should look to cash in on him while he still holds some value in the market.
