Tottenham target Raphinha has no intentions of leaving Barcelona.
The North London club have a long-standing interest in the services of Raphinha. The Brazilian winger has been a consistent performer for the Spanish giants and Spurs have been keen on adding him to their squad. They seek more quality as well as depth on the flanks and the 27-year-old can surely help them take the next step under Ange Postecoglou.
But, according to Goal via ToTheLaneandBack, Tottenham have received a major blow in their pursuit as Raphinha is keen on staying at Barcelona. His €12.5 million-per-year contract with the Catalan giants runs until the summer of 2027 and he has no intentions of leaving midway.
Raphinha was linked with a move away throughout the summer and Tottenham were one of the interested clubs but he ended up staying. The Brazilian winger has made a phenomenal start to life under Hansi Flick with six goals and four assists in his ten outings. He seems to be enjoying life at the Spanish club and it is quite understandable why he doesn’t want to leave.
Despite failing to strike a deal in the past, Spurs retain interest in the 27-year-old. With Barcelona not in the best financial situation, Postecoglou’s team can surely tempt the Catalan giants with a suitable offer. But, with Raphinha keen on staying their chance of succeeding are very slim. More importantly, the North London club are unlikely to break the bank for a player anytime soon.
