Saudi-backed millionaire Amanda Staveley is looking to invest £650 million to buy a stake in Tottenham.
Tottenham have made a strong start to the season after picking up four points out of a possible six. They started slow with a draw against Leicester but the 4-0 win over Everton has put them back on the track. They seem to doing justice to the investment that they have made in players since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou.
While the North London club’s project seems to be heading in the right direction, Daniel Levy has been on the lookout for outside investment to ensure Spurs continue to grow and they have the funds to sign the best players.
According to a report from The Sun, former Newcastle United co-owner Amanda Staveley is now looking to buy a 25% stake in Tottenham that will cost her £650 million. The Tottenham chairman had earlier revealed that Spurs were in talks with different parties regarding an investment into the club and she is believed to be one of them.
She is said to be very keen on investing in the North London club. As per the report, Staveley has been working behind the scenes to put together some financial backing to make a bid for a part in Tottenham.
She brokered the Saudi-led takeover of Newcastle United in 2021 and has great connections with people in the Middle East who are backing her with some serious funds. The 51-year-old is aiming to buy a part in the club before eventually looking to more a larger stake.
