Tottenham are focused on bolstering their attacking options this summer and have shown significant interest in Rennes’ young forward, Desire Doue.

However, they are not the only club after him, with Bayern Munich, PSG and Chelsea also reportedly showing keen interest in signing him.

Reports from French outlet L’Equipe reveal that Bayern Munich recently had a £31 million bid for Doue rejected by Rennes.

The report claims that this development could now see other clubs including Spurs make a move for him.

Doue has rapidly emerged as one of Europe’s most promising young talents.

Joining Rennes’ youth academy at the age of five, he signed his first professional contract with the club in April 2022.

Spurs have long admired Doue, whose versatility and skill set make him a valuable asset.

Primarily an attacking midfielder, Doue can also perform effectively on either wing or as a forward.

His ability to adapt to various attacking roles aligns well with the tactical approach under manager Ange Postecoglou.

Last season, Doue made 31 appearances, scoring four goals and providing five assists in 17 starts.

With Bayern Munich’s initial bid rejected, Spurs may be poised to capitalise on the situation and submit their own offer for Doue.
