Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the Coventry City midfielder Callum O’Hare.
According to a report from Football London, the 25-year-old midfielder will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season and a number of English clubs are keeping tabs on his situation.
The report further states that Tottenham could look to take a risk and make a move for him in the summer. O’Hare has had multiple injury problems over the last two seasons and he has missed 50 matches as a result of that.
However, the player has now returned from his serious knee injury and he is in impressive form this season, scoring nine goals and picking up three assists across all competitions.
He has certainly shown his quality in the Championship this season and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham manage to get the deal done for him. The opportunity to move to the Premier League league will be a tempting proposition for the midfielder and he is likely to be attracted to the idea of playing for Tottenham.
Given the fact that it would be a free transfer, it might be a gamble worth taking. If O’Hare can finally get over his injury problems, he could be a useful squad player for Tottenham in the coming seasons. Spurs could certainly use a goalscoring midfielder like him.
They need more depth in the squad in order to challenge for major trophies and players like O’Hare could prove to be useful acquisitions for nominal prices.
