Tottenham could make U-turn after agreement, refuse to let key star leave for medical

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

According to a report from Daily Mail, the North London outfit agreed on a £100 million deal with the Bundesliga champions for the 30-year-old striker on Thursday.

However, Tottenham are now looking to renegotiate the transfer and they have revoked the player’s permission to travel to Germany and complete his medical with Bayern Munich.

The move has now been thrown into doubt and it will be interesting to see if the two parties can secure an agreement soon.

The 30-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world and he is certainly the best player at the club. The North London outfit will not want to lose him easily and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Harry Kane was expected to formalise his move to Bayern Munich today and there were rumours that he could make his debut for the German club against RB Leipzig tomorrow.

Apparently, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy values the striker at £120 million and Bayern Munich will be hoping to get the deal done based on the initial agreement of £100 million.

He will be out of contract next summer and Tottenham will not want to lose a key player on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old is clearly not keen on signing a new contract with them and therefore it makes sense for them to accept the £100 million offer and let him leave this summer.
