Tottenham could look to sign 21-goal star in a part-exchange deal

Tottenham could look to offer players in part-exchange deal to sign Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke.

The North London club did a wonderful job last season as they managed to cope without signing a Harry Kane replacement. But, to take the next step and ensure they finish in the top four, Ange Postecoglou seeks a world-class striker who can lead his attack.

Throughout the summer, they have been linked with some world-class strikers and Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke is one of the names on their wishlist. According to a report from Football.London, Tottenham could submit a part exchange offer to prise the 26-year-old away from the Cherries.

Things might not have worked out at Liverpool for Solanke but the move to Bournemouth allowed him to revive himself. He has only gone from strength to strength in the recent past and finds himself on the radar of quite a few top clubs thanks to his consistent performances. Last season, he scored 21 goals and 19 of those came in the Premier League.

People at Tottenham consider the former Liverpool ace to be an ideal fit for their system and since they are in need of bolstering their homegrown options, Solanke surely fits the bill. But, since he is a homegrown player, the Cherries want a significant fee for him.

They are looking at around £60 million for a player who has a £65 million release clause as confirmed by the owner Bill Foley. Since the price tag is quite high, Spurs could potentially offer players in a part-exchange deal to sign Solanke. They have quite a few players who are surplus to requirements and a few who seek a move away, including them could help Tottenham lower Bournemouth’s demands.
