Tottenham Hotspur have been linked to the move for the Napoli midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.
The 27-year-old has established himself as an important first-team player for Luciano Spalletti since joining Napoli from Fulham.
Anguissa has helped Napoli win the league title this season and he was a key member of the side that made it to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League as well.
The 27-year-old has three goals and seven assists across all competitions and his performances have attracted the attention of two Premier League clubs.
According to NapoliCalcioLive, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are ‘constantly monitoring’ the midfielder and they could submit an ‘important offer’ for him in the coming weeks.
It remains to be seen whether Napoli are prepared to cash in on the player this summer. The midfielder has a contract with them until the summer of 2025 and Napoli are under no pressure to sanction his departure.
Spurs need to bring in central midfield reinforcements and the 27-year-old has the technical ability and the physical attributes to succeed in the Premier League.
He could prove to be a quality acquisition for both Premier League clubs, and it remains to be seen where he ends up.
Napoli will be playing in the Champions League next season and it seems highly unlikely that the Cameroon midfielder will be open to joining Tottenham who were set to miss out on a top-four finish this season. A move to Manchester United could be more likely as the Red Devils are closing in on Champions League qualification.
