Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with the move away from the club this month and they will need to replace them adequately.
According to Rudy Galetti, Tottenham are eyeing up a move for the Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher. The 23-year-old wants to continue at Stanford Bridge and the two parties are currently in talks regarding a contract contract renewal. However, the discussions are progressing slowly and Tottenham still consider him as the ‘main option’ to replace the 28-year-old Denmark international.
🚨‼️ #Gallagher'd like to stay at #Chelsea despite interest from other clubs.
📄 Talks for his renewal – current deal expires in 2025 – are going slowly, although #Pochettino appreciates him.

Hojbjerg has been a key for the North London club since joining them in 2020 for a fee of around £15 million. However, he has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou. He needs to move on in search of regular playing time and clubs in Italy are thoughts to be keen on securing his services.
Gallagher has shown his quality in the Premier League with Chelsea and during his loan spell at Crystal Palace. There is no doubt that he would be a quality acquisition for Tottenham. The Londoners need more quality and depth in the middle of the park and the 23-year-old could be the ideal fit for their style of play.
His defensive work rate and pressing ability could prove to be priceless in Postecoglou’s high-intensity attacking system. However, the player wants to continue at his boyhood club and Tottenham might find it difficult to convince him to move this month. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
