Tottenham Hotspur are still searching for a quality replacement for Antonio Conte after getting rid of the Italian manager recently.
Conte was sacked following a public outburst and a series of disappointing results. Potential replacements for the Italian manager include Julian Nagelsmann, Vincent Kompany and Arne Slot.
A report from Football Insider claims that Tottenham are now closing in on a potential appointment and their main focus is now to bring in a manager who will convince Harry Kane to stay at the club. Convincing Kane to stay will be a “big factor” when it comes to selecting the next manager.
The 29-year-old striker has a contract with Tottenham until the summer of 2024 and he could look to leave them at the end of the season.
Kane is one of the best players in the world and he is undoubtedly the best player at Tottenham. His departure will come as a massive blow for the North London giants and they must look to do everything in their power to hold on to him beyond this season.
The England international has 27 goals across all competitions this season and he has been carrying the Tottenham attack all by himself.
The England international will want to play for a club capable of winning trophies and Tottenham will have to match up to his ambitions in order to convince him to sign a new deal with them.
Bringing in a proven manager and investing significant amounts of money in the transfer window on new players could certainly convince Kane to continue at his boyhood club.
