Tottenham board ‘listening to opportunities’ as ‘enquiry’ made for 25-yr-old

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has been linked with a move away from the London club this summer.

The Frenchman was on loan at Lyon last season and they had the option to sign him permanently.

However, they decided against exercising the right to buy him permanently and the 25-year-old has returned to Tottenham.

It seems that the player is not in Antonio Conte’s first team plans and he was recently left out of the pre-season tour to South Korea.

It is fair to assume that the midfielder will have to leave Tottenham in order to secure regular first-team football next season and Galatasaray are thought to be keen on securing his services.

According to Media Foot, the Turkish club might not be able to afford the player on a permanent deal and they could look to sign him on loan. Spurs value the player at around €50 million.

Meanwhile, the report also claims that Tottenham will not stand in his way if a ‘good offer’ comes in.

Apparently, the club ‘leaders are listening to opportunities’ following Galatasaray’s ‘enquiry’.

The Londoners paid £63 million for his services back in 2019 and they will be hoping to recoup as much as possible if they were to sell him this summer.

However, it seems unlikely that the player’s suitors will splash the cash on him given his current form.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks. With the World Cup coming up, Ndombele will have to sort out his future quickly so that he can focus on regaining his match fitness and confidence with regular game time over the next few months.
