Tottenham are reportedly monitoring £60m-rated playmaker

Leicester City midfielder James Maddison has been linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium in recent months.

The 26-year-old England international was linked with a number of clubs at the start of the season, but the Foxes were demanding a fee of around £60 million for his services.

The attacking midfielder ended up staying at the club, and he has been in fine form.

Maddison has seven goals and four assists to his name in the league so far and his performances have caught the attention of a number of clubs once again.

According to a report from ESPN, Tottenham are one of the several clubs monitoring the England international’s situation.

The midfielder has a contract with Leicester City until the summer of 2024 and the Londoners will feel that they can sign him for a reasonable price at the end of the season.

The summer transfer window will probably be Leicester’s final opportunity to grind out a considerable sum of money for the player.

Maddison has been an excellent servant for Leicester since joining the club, and he will feel that he should be playing at a higher level right now. He will probably look to join a club in the Champions League and Tottenham can provide him with that option.

The Londoners were looking to add more creativity to their midfield, and they were linked with players like Nicolo Zaniolo during the summer transfer window.

It will be interesting to see if they can agree on a deal with Leicester for the 26-year-old England midfielder in the coming months.
