Boost for Spurs: Ange provides fitness update on star player ahead of clash against West Ham

Tottenham Hotspur rallied from behind to clinch a 2-1 victory over Luton Town, with Son scoring the winning goal in the 86th minute during their recent Premier League fixture.

Richarlison was deemed fit to make the squad and the Brazilian came off the bench to play the final few minutes.

His return provided a boost to Spurs, particularly considering the pre-game rumours suggesting that he could be sidelined for the clash.

Richarlison recently disclosed that he was experiencing discomfort in his knee and didn’t feel completely fit.

However, before the game, Ange Postecoglou mentioned that the player trained and felt good.

Richarison shares positive update on Richarlison

In a pre-game press conference ahead of Tottenham’s upcoming league game against West Ham on Tuesday, the Australian manager provided an update on Richarlison’s fitness, indicating that the player responded positively after his minutes on Saturday.

Postecoglou noted that Richarlison’s condition improved significantly after the game, and he has been actively involved in training sessions since then.

He said (via Football London):

“Yeah, yeah, he was much better after the game and he felt a lot better. He trained yesterday and he’ll train this afternoon. He feels good now.”

With Postecoglou’s latest update, fans can now be reassured as the in-form goalscorer may potentially start on Tuesday night against West Ham.

Recently, the 26-year-old has been on fire, scoring 9 goals in his last 12 outings in the Premier League.

Richarlison’s availability is a positive sign for Spurs as they aim to maintain their winning momentum in the English top flight and pursue a top-four finish.
