Tottenham among four Premier League clubs keen on €30m World Cup winner

Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo De Paul has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old has not been able to hold down a regular starting spot under Diego Simeone and therefore the Argentine could be on his way out of the club if a good offer arrives.

According to a report from Inter Live, a number of Premier League clubs are interested in signing the World Cup winner who could be available for a fee of around €30 million.

Apparently, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Brentford and Aston Villa are all keen on signing the midfielder and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Tottenham need to add more depth to their midfield and Rodrigo De Paul could prove to be a quality acquisition. The reported €30m asking price seems reasonable for a World Cup winner and the midfielder will add physicality and defensive cover to the Tottenham midfield.

The likes of Brentford, Everton and Aston Villa need to add more depth to their side as well and the 28-year-old would be a quality acquisition.

However, Tottenham will certainly have an edge in the transfer chase given the fact that they could be playing European football next season. Furthermore, they have more resources compared to Brentford, Aston Villa and Everton as well.

De Paul has proven his quality in the Italian league and the Spanish league over the years and he will be hoping to try out a new challenge at this stage of his career. The opportunity to play in the Premier League is likely to be an attractive idea and it will be interesting to see if the 28-year-old can complete a move to the Premier League in the coming months.
