Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Tim Kleindienst.

The 29-year-old has done quite well for the Bundesliga club this season, with 16 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.

According to a report from SportBILD, the German club is under financial pressure, and they could be forced to sell him for a bargain price in the summer if they miss out on European qualification. Tottenham will be able to secure his signature for a fee of around £24 million if that happens.

The report claims that numerous clubs are keen on the player, and Tottenham are among those ‘interested’. They should look to move quickly to beat the competition.

Tottenham are looking at multiple strikers this summer.

Tim Kleindienst would improve Tottenham

Kleindienst has shown his quality in Germany, and he has the physicality to succeed in the Premier League as well. He will add goals, presence and aerial prowess to the Tottenham attack. They need someone who can share the goalscoring burden with Dominic Solanke, and the German International would be ideal. Also, Richarlison could be on his way out.

The reported asking price is quite reasonable for a player of his experience and quality. Tottenham certainly have the means to afford him.

It will be interesting to see whether Tottenham are prepared to invest in the 29-year-old. They have shown a willingness to bring in talented young players, and the German is nearing his 30s. With that said, they need the right blend of experience and youth to succeed, and the Bundesliga attacker could be the ideal acquisition.

The opportunity to join Tottenham will be quite exciting for the players as well. Regular football in England could help him establish himself as an important player for the German national team as well.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get a deal for Kleindienst across the line.
