Tottenham Hotspur’s goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has reportedly been offered to Real Madrid as a potential solution to cover for the injured Thibaut Courtois.
The unexpected opportunity arises after Courtois suffered a serious knee injury that could keep him sidelined for a significant portion of the upcoming season.
Lloris’ departure from Tottenham was previously confirmed by manager Ange Postecoglou, and the Frenchman was not included in the pre-season preparations, indicating his imminent exit.
Tottenham had already secured a replacement for Lloris by signing Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli.
Despite links to various clubs, including Al Hilal, PSG, and Inter Milan, Lloris has been unable to secure a move away from Tottenham.
Thibaut Courtois’ anterior cruciate ligament injury has left Real Madrid in need of a temporary goalkeeper solution, and Lloris could be considered as a potential option.
According to Marca journalist Jose Felix Diaz, Tottenham have offered the Frenchman to Madrid ‘in the last hours’.

Yassine Bono remains the favourite other goalkeepers are being linked as well including David De Gea, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Keylor Navas, and Lloris.
Whether Real Madrid are genuinely interested in pursuing the option to sign the Frenchman or explore other alternatives remains to be seen.
While Spurs are still trying to sign a couple of more players before the window shuts, their focus seems to have moved more towards the outgoings now.
Tottenham will hope to sort out the future of Hugo Lloris. He is not in Ange Postecoglou’s plans and Spurs will hope to get him off their wage list before the transfer window deadline.
