Tottenham a ‘club that has an interest’ in signing 24-year-old after World Cup heroics

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping tabs on the Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappé.

The 24-year-old has been put up for sale this summer after he refused to sign a new contract with a French outfit. As per Marca, Tottenham are ‘another club that has an interest’ in the player.

His current deal expires next summer and PSG will not want to lose him on a free transfer. They will look to recoup as much as they can for him before the summer transfer window and clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea are also keeping tabs on well.

The 2018, World Cup winner is one of the best players in the world and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Tottenham if they manage to pull it off. However, Spurs failed to secure Champions League qualification and it would be quite difficult for them to convince the 24-year-old Frenchman.

Mbappé is destined to be a superstar of the game and he will want to join the club capable of winning major trophies. Tottenham are going through a period of transition and they might not be the ideal next step for the player. Mbappé had an exceptional World Cup campaign in Qatar a few months ago, and he helped his side reach the final of the tournament.

He managed to score a memorable hat trick in the World Cup final against Argentina as well. There is no doubt that he could transform Tottenham in the final third and would be a superb replacement for Harry Kane if the England international decides to move on this summer.
