“Took a red card and a penalty for you to wake up” Far Too Many Fans Have This Squad Sussed

There are very few Spurs fan comments that I can share with you this evening because the language is too fruity for this family-centric place. The bottom line is that we are circling the flaws again and again.

Tottenham’s churn of players is so glacially slow that even clowns like me are reduced to wanting to see Erik Lamela play on a regular basis. The Gareth Bale fairytale has to date been a hugely expensive mistake, and I await the numbers to upload before metaphorically tearing Matt Doherty to extremely small pieces.

The mood in the camp is not good and the after-effects of this result will in my view resonate badly for the rest of the season. Manchester City Football Club must be beside themselves with laughter this evening.

There will be questions asked in the wake of this result and I will be asking all the ones that count. A turgid display that many of our players ought to count themselves fortunate – was played behind closed doors.

We will not make Top Four , even had we won yesterday we still would not make top four, we do not have the know how, we do not have the desire, we do not have the balls. Losses against West Ham , Chelsea , Arsenal, not to mention Loserpool and Citeh or for that matter Leicester. This season , for everybody , has been a Minefield of form and that is the only reason Spurs dreamers think they still have a chance of getting top four. The other Clubs want it more , so we are once again the Bridesmaids.

Depends what you think his direct responsibility was other than “he’s the boss so he carries the can” – I mean IMO he named what before the whistle I thought looked like our strongest and most attacking line up – so I am finding it very hard to accept that he told them to sit back and hoof it long.

Many of us tumbled Levy and ENIC years ago.

I find this idea that some people hold, that they’re trying to turn us into eventually league winners etc utterly laughable. I mean look at the evidence, look at the track record ffs!

I think you’re on to something there. Little retainer to certain pundits, helps pay their ex wives’ mortgages etc…

Well, anyone that thinks fans of a big club should mainly be thankful that relegation isn’t on the cards needs to go and have a lie down…

Its all on the players? Jose must take a degree of criticism for such a flat and turgid display. Why he should be immune to responsibility every time we don’t play well? This is becoming slightly worrying.

Also, the general malaise at the club is down to Levy and ENIC. The management and players all have to operate in a slightly dysfunctional environment.

We have a situation where ambitious people are employed by unambitious people, to do quite what exactly? Tread water for another 22 years? 🤔

It’s all pretty f*cked up…

When are commentators, pundits and fans going to wake up to the fact Kane is not a free kick specialist. He can’t help himself from taking every one that is awarded.

If memory serves he last converted one for England in the World Cup.Unfortunately we don’t have this specialist in the team and haven’t since Eriksen was in his pomp. And neither do we have a real playmaker.

Until we can add these and a CB pairing,a RB and another striker we are destined to flatter to deceive again.Today’s was an embarrassingly poor performance, lacking any effort, fight, application and pride. We were second best for the majority of the game constantly conceeding possession and generally inferior to a not particularly good side.

It was no wonder Sonny finally succumed to injury and Kane was anonimous for 80 minutes and I would say the only real success was Moura.Lamela’s rabona was a highlight.Doherty is toast,he will never be good enough for us.

It’s not just Lewis, with TalkSport especially they’re always at it, doesn’t have to involve money. Happened with Sullivan and Gold and others, pally with their little elite mates and always back em up over fans. It’s not a different opinion either, the statement is just plain wrong. Spurs have always been considered a big club. 60′ 61 double winners. First british team to win in Europe. …and if ya know ya history…etc

That was Jamie OHara spouting nonsense about world class training facilities and never having to worry about relegation in Levys watch. I swear he said that, since Levy has come in Spurs are club that never have to worry about relegation. Crazy comments coming from a supposed Spurs boy.

When you say “shills”, are you seriously suggesting that these people are paid by Lewis? Or could it simply be they have a different opinion to you?

It’s madness for someone to suggest that. Tottenham were ALWAYS part of the old “big 5”.

What grates me was the guys on taksport saying how great Levy is as a chairman for making Spurs a “big” club…we were technically a bigger club before they come along thanks…who cares we are the 9th richest club, really, when you look up at that list, and even down, just take a moment to compare the trophies they’ve won, its embarrassing…why do people praise these parasites when all they’ve done is used a loyalty scheme using others peoples money to buy property…no other business in the world would get away with what they’ve done….so I guess yes, he is the greatest chairman in the world to abuse and take advantage of a system no other business could use…reference numbers that will never take their business elsewhere and tv money that flows like a river even if you’re sailing on it in a dinghy…

I dunno what the _##$ is going on with modern football fans….stumbled across you tube channels of 19 year old girls telling Jose Mourinho how to do his job. It’s become a stylistic life accessory. Prestige and money brings the tourists.

Unbelievable result mainly due to a shocking player attitude. But I confess the first two paragraphs brightened my evening.

Doherty is toast – he’s only been here since the summer but dear Lord, does it feel like an eternity. Bale should be deployed only at home against the Burnleys and Palaces of the footballing food chain.

Son’s injury and losing to a very soft penalty are the cherries on top of a particularly sh-t cake.

We might STILL make the top four, but losing a derby like this is unacceptable no matter where in the table we are.

Due to extraordinary neglect and off the pitch prioritising by the chairman , in a couple of years he’s allowed Everton, Leicester, Liverpool, West Ham and Man Utd to surpass us. A shiney NFL/event arena with no fans allowed and no winning team to play in it and a monumental debt is all there is to show for it.
