Home » Toby Staying.

The Singapore Times did a great job catching hold of Toby Alderweireld after the Juventus win yesterday.

Aside from the humidity, Toby was in good spirits and assured reporters that he believes in Mauricio Pochettino’s work at Spurs and has NO plans to leave the club this summer despite speculation, his focus was on next season. At Tottenham.

The club media handler was nearby, getting a little antsy about questions surrounding a possible departure, but in fairness, if THFC are to portray themselves as a big club, then they can’t be having their big players being constantly asked – when are you leaving?

Toby was captain against Juve and as we all know, he hands that armband out dependent upon how pally he wants to be with you.

Toby staying.

Good news indeed. Him and Jan are the best CB pairing in the PL. Now let’s sort CE out one way or the other and get Lo Celso in regardless cos CE’s head is obviously still in the clouds. Even if he stays he needs competition for his place, he’s a great player but if he has another season like last Lo Celso would steal his place with ease.

The guy might genuinely want to stay and see his deal out which is fine! We all moan when players want out mid contract so when a player wants to honour his deal so be it! He cost £14m so didn’t break the bank!

Hope he signs a new deal, he thoroughly deserves a pay rise.

If true, that would be wonderful, Verts and him in the middle and Tripps and Rose out wide, oh hang on. After yesterday, this is more womderful news. Now let’s get Lo Celso and Sesse and we have a EPL title to raise aloft next June
