Another great video analysis from the House Of Tifo. Here, our attention is turned to not just abject transfer speculation, but what would aid a good marriage between the players we already have, Mourinho, and any new faces.
Unsurprisingly enough, our need for a defensive midfielder is required. FC København’s Jens Dalsgaard Stage is suggested. As is Tanguy Ndombele’s old partner, Lucas Tousart, who remains with Lyon.
Tifo’s pick is João Maria Lobo Alves Palhinha Gonçalves. The Portuguese sounds like the real deal.
Tifo also look at an upgrade on Serge Aurier and you can watch the entire tape below!
I’ve watched other videos on this channel before re tactics. Always very good analysis.
This clearly illustrates the type of conversations that a genuine football club with genuine footballing ambition should be having within a Recruitment division. However, we have Levy who as Chairman with a Napolean complex knows squiddly dit about any of this detail and who is more interested in designing cheese rooms and NFL changing rooms.( No detail left out in those area’s apparently). We are a faux football club with faux owners. Until that changes nothing else will.
tragically, what’s sensible and what’s likely for spurs’ transfers are different
things. it’s been that way for 20 years. as many on this blog rightly
maintain, enic does not prioritise winning. only profit. since any thfc
scout has exactly the same constraints upon him/her that the 1st team
manager has, finding players is not the issue. the problem is that any
scout at thfc also takes orders from levy. given his track record, what message is levy giving out to scouts? QED. if your own boss appears not to want you to try too hard…
I liked that video, and really hit the nail on the head with my area’s of concern. In the shorter term, longer term we need to address far more. Also considering both our biggest problem area’s potentially could be fixed for a combined €20m you have ot ask how our scouts cant find these players!!
Re Wanyama, he was making a football decision, he did not factor in Levy.
I watched the video with interest. I have never heard of any of the players mentioned, but it goes to show how much analysis and thought is needed to make a successful acquisition. It also showed that you don’t have to spend a fortune to buy suitable players. One thing Tifo mentioned in their analysis was that Victor Wanyama would be allowed to leave on a free which I found surprising.
