Three Tottenham players told that it is time to find a new home

Reports have linked Tottenham with a move for several new players in this transfer window.

They should make a number of additions to their squad as Nuno Espirito Santo looks to start his managerial reign with a bang and they are also expected to offload some of their current players.

Spurs have underachieved in the last two seasons after reaching the final of the Champions League in 2019.

They had expected to build on that success under the management of Jose Mourinho, but it never happened.

Some of the players who have failed to deliver in the last year have now been told to find a new home.

The Athletic reports that the club has told Erik Lamela, Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko that their services are no longer required.

The trio have been at the club since at least 2016 and was a part of the squad that reached the final of the UCL in 2019 as well as the Carabao Cup last season.

Lamela has been at the club since 2013, but the Argentinian lacks the consistency to make a huge impact at the Tottenham Stadium.

Aurier has a year left on his current deal and would likely play behind Matt Doherty this season, so the club has chosen to cash in on him.

Sissoko joined them from Newcastle in 2016 and has been a mainstay in their squad since then.

However, he might struggle to play under Nuno Santo and the club is looking to make some money from his sale this summer.
