Three big problems exist at Tottenham – which one needs sorting first?

The headline may be a little bit misleading saying there are three problems at Spurs simply because there are probably a good few more but for me, there are three main problems that supersede everything else. ENIC, Jose Mourinho and the players.

The argument goes that ENIC (Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis) has been under-investing in recruitment for a long time now and because of this, we are now feeling the effects of that. Also, the recruitment itself has been questioned in many quarters.

Jose Mourinho is being accused by some of negative football, bringing a toxic atmosphere to the club, alienating some of the players and unable to get the best from the players he seems to favour.

As for the players, it seems that a lot of the fanbase do not rate a good number of them, that some are stealing a living and even worse, simply do not care.

Now, I am sure some will say all three are as bad as each other, which in itself would be a huge worry, makes us sound like Sunderland but as with everything that needs an overhaul, you have to start somewhere.

On a personal level, I am of the opinion that all is not as bad as some think and that patience and time are required. I feel that the stadium will generate the funds needed, that will enable investment in the squad and that Mourinho will eventually get his “players”.

I also do not subscribe to the view that the squad is as terrible as some think.

However, this is not about my opinion but yours? The question is in the headline, what needs sorting first? Is it ENIC, Mourinho or the players, which one of those three are the biggest issue right now and needs to be dealt with immediately?

I look forward to your responses, I have no doubts at all that they will be very interesting.
