‘They’ve gone back to the Spursy way’ Roy Keane grabs his chance to slap Tottenham

Tottenham suffered a second consecutive defeat in the Premier League this afternoon when Leicester City beat them 2-0.

Spurs had been in fine form this season and they were even at the top of the Premier League before losing to Liverpool in midweek.

They are now winless in their last three league games.

Having started the campaign very well, they now look mentally susceptible to defeats and Roy Keane thinks that they are back to their old self.

They did well against Liverpool, but they made costly mistakes against Leicester today with Serge Aurier and Toby Alderweireld at fault for both Leicester goals.

At half time, Keane already knew that Spurs were playing below the high levels that they have set for themselves this season and he said that Tottenham had been hoping to get counter-attacks, allowing Leicester to do things with the ball.

He said that Mourinho has done well with them, but their showing in the first 45 minutes proves that they are the same as the old Spurs.

Keane told Sky Sports at half-time via Mail Online: ‘They (Leicester) deserve it (the lead), they’ve been the better team. Spurs haven’t been great, (but) I know they’ve been depending on the counter attack.

‘It’s like the Spurs of the old days. Lots of credit to Mourinho for sorting it, but conceding late at Liverpool, not holding on at Crystal Palace and now this. They’ve gone back to the “Spursy” way.’
