“They start to regret Pochettino,” Ginola makes bold claim after speaking with Spurs fans

Tottenham legend, David Ginola says some of the club’s fans regret the ousting of Mauricio Pochettino as manager.

The Argentinian is arguably the most lovable manager we’ve had in the last decade.

He didn’t win trophies, but Spurs played beautiful football and looked like they were building towards something great.

However, he lost his job months after leading the club to the Champions League final in 2019.

After watching Jose Mourinho’s terrible style of play with no trophies and the current football being played under Nuno Espirito Santo, some Lilywhites’ fans will happily take Poch back.

But he manages PSG now and has the chance to win the French Ligue 1 this season.

Ginola says he has spoken to some fans and they have expressed frustrations over the departure of Poch and how much they miss him.

“They start to regret Pochettino,” said Ginola on Sky Sports as quoted by HITC

“I bump into Spurs fan the other day and they said ‘we regret (sacking) Pochettino.’

“‘He was great. Okay, he didn’t win anything with us, but he was in the process of building something great for the club. We played great football. And we enjoyed it’.

“I think you need to be patient. But patience isn’t a word you use in football, right now.”

Nuno Santo is leading a Spurs team that cannot get Kane to score goals regularly and if that continues, he could lose his job before this season ends, because the team has so few goals when he isn’t contributing his quota.
