“They are in for a whooping” – Jamie O’Hara makes interesting North London derby prediction

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for the highly anticipated North London Derby of the new Premier League season this Sunday, and former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara has made a confident prediction about the outcome.

Speaking on talkSPORT, O’Hara expressed his belief that Tottenham could claim a memorable victory over Arsenal, provided Ange Postecoglou’s side can sharpen up certain areas of their game.

O’Hara highlighted that while Spurs need to improve in defence and finishing, their performances in the early season have shown plenty of promise.

The Lilywhites have been creating numerous chances and dominating possession in recent matches, giving them the potential to pose a serious threat to their rivals.

According to O’Hara, if Spurs can find their rhythm on the day, they have the ability to overpower Arsenal. He predicted that Tottenham could put in a strong display in front of their home crowd, with the electric atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium boosting their chances of victory. The pundit stated:

“What if it clicks? It’s going to click. You can’t say we played poorly.

“Our defending needs to be better and our finishing needs to be better, but our overall game in 90 minutes has been good. We have had loads of possession. We have created chances.

“If it clicks on Sunday, they are in a whooping. I am confident on Sunday we are going to rock up and give them a whooping. The place is going to be rocking.”

Despite this optimism, Spurs will be missing key players for the clash, including Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, and young striker Will Lankshear, all sidelined through injury. Arsenal also faces their own challenges, with Declan Rice suspended and midfielders Mikel Merino and Martin Odegaard out injured.

Ange Postecoglou will be determined to claim his first North London Derby win as Spurs manager, especially after their recent league defeat before the international break. A victory could be a crucial momentum boost for Tottenham as they look to establish themselves early in the season.
