The ‘Why Don’t You Start Bale?’ Question Answered Effortlessly By Mourinho

By The Boy -

Jonathan Veal is always on the spot, asking proper questions, creating great content. ‘When fit’. That’s the quote. Not JV, GB.

I take a view that Bale has – as with Dele – has been flushed out. The question is, can the pair stay fit, and can they do it against tougher opposition than the Sound Of Music XI in the Europa, or a subpar Burnley?

Bale had been flat, Bale was representing pretty dreadful value for money. It might take a rather adventurous mind than mine to ignore that that Welshman only came good after the Instagram humiliation. Truth be told, Bale is 31 and arrived unfit, all he was up to was cameos. Cameos that were a million miles away from what many fans had been hoping for.

I appreciate just how cynical I am, but even I cannot wonder if Gareth Bale giving it a proper go couldn’t play a sizeable part in us winning something this season. Between José’s guile and keeping Eric Dier off the pitch… please tell me there’s hope?!

It’s irrelevant as to whom posted it. And yes, I’m fully aware that the players have their own PR doing this stuff.

The point was and is. After that post, GB all of a sudden, as if by magic sponge became the player we all hoped he’d be.

To be fair, they were uncharacteristically dreadful today.

That Instagram post wasn’t anything to do with Bale, it was his PR people meddling and trying to protect their asset. Jose said at the time that it hadn’t come from the player himself.

Most of these top players have social media accounts managed by other people anyway. Social media is complete b*llocks anyway, you don’t know who’s even writing half of it…

Saw the goal highlights and thought it interesting that two of the goals came from balls in the air which they didn’t clear, one right into the heart of their defence which is usually a fortress.

So kudos to the players for unlocking their defence at it’s strong point.

The haters say he’s frozen both Bale and Dele out. I see it as good management for one player, who was less fit than a one legged man in an ars* kicking contest. Then a player, who, in his own head is a legend in his own lunch hour… that beIng Dele of course.

Instagram-gate was a ploy that backfired immensely on GB I think it was that moment the penny dropped. He’s not as big as Mourinho in that dressing room. There’s but one boss there. It ain’t him.

That penny is slowly working its way down for Dele too.

Let’s hope for a great run in. The signs are there.

It didn’t seem like gamble at all when he first signed on loan, the ensuing months of drips and drabs and looking unfit have only now lead people to say this.

ENIC have loads of ready cash under the mattress hidden away, which is why the financial implications of loaning him don’t worry me whatsoever. Don’t worry, we won’t ‘do a Leeds’ because Mr Topknot is on 250k a week.

Woolwich are still paying their squad about 60m a year more than we are, we can relax about this aspect. We are still spending naff all on the team, in the great scheme of things…

We have been so bad at times recently that I can’t see having Bale on the pitch as a ‘passenger’ just to take free kicks’ as a massive disadvantage in all honesty.

Who’s played ahead of him that’s done anything of note?

That lethal left peg brings such joy!!

It’s been said before – Bale is an expensive gamble.

I for one though am glad that Spurs bought the ticket and no-one else!!

Let’s hope it leads us to a prize and fans get back in the stadium to sing his name before the end of the season!!

Whilst Bale has lost his electric pace his left foot still remains a potent weapon!!

Beating poor opposition what pleased me most about the win is that by being on the front foot early on we never looked back
which hopefully we can repeat against Fulham!!

Where is Rodon??

I’m sure he’s been showing this form in training recently.
Yes, it’s taken a long while for Bale to get as fit as he needed to be.

….but once he’s fit, he’s dangerous.

Now if we could just get on a run of good form…..

Bale was the one and only reason we won so emphatically, I’m sure the players were impressed and realise what an asset he is to the team.
