McGinn has considerable form for bad challenges, and it would have stunned very few fans to see the Villa man involved in this brutal ‘challenge’ on Spurs’ Destiny Udogie.
What was pleasing for me though was how we reacted to the incident as a team, and particularly the character shown by Brennan Johnson.
Johnson had a much-improved game yesterday, and his reaction (which match officials rightly ignored) told me that the former Forest boy is now fully COYS.
This side has always needed more spine, which is what Villa were shown.
