‘The new Kaka’: Spurs eye last-minute move for £50m rated midfielder – agent in London to seal the move

Tottenham are considering a late move to sign Lucas Paqueta, according to TeamTalk, and the player’s agent is already in London attempting to secure a deal for the Lyon playmaker.

Since joining Lyon from AC Milan in 2020, Paqueta has developed into one of the most highly rated attackers in French football, attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs including the likes of Spurs, Arsenal, and West Ham.

According to the Express, the Hammers turned down a £34 million bid for the Brazilian attacking midfielder. And TeamTalk has reported that the Ligue 1 club is looking for a deal worth around £50 million. His agents, however, are reportedly looking to secure Paqueta a move to England this summer.

Tottenham have reportedly renewed their pursuit of Lyon playmaker Lucas Paqueta after London rivals West Ham failed to make an offer.

According to the newspaper, Spurs are keen admirers of Paqueta and are considering a late move to bring the attacking midfielder to the north side of the capital before the transfer window closes.

Paqueta’s representatives are already in London, attempting to secure a move before September 1st.

Fabio Paratici has been following the Brazilian for some time and is a known fan. The 24-year-old is one of the best young midfielders in the world and has the potential to be “one of the best in the world.”

Paqueta, who has been labelled as the ‘new Kaka‘, scored 11 goals and assisted seven times in 44 appearances across all competitions last season.

The addition of a No.10 is arguably the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle for Antonio Conte. Tottenham’s last two games have produced far better results than performances, with a lack of creativity being a major issue.

However, Tottenham will almost certainly have to outbid the Hammers to secure their man. Although, they have a significant advantage in that they can offer him Champions League football.
