“The latest information we have… ” – Sky Sports shares massive Harry Kane transfer update

By Mehdi Gokal -

The situation surrounding Harry Kane’s potential move has taken an unexpected turn, with Sky Sports reporting that the player is ‘increasingly likely’ to stay at Tottenham despite the club agreeing on a £100 million fee with Bayern Munich.

This update comes as a surprise, as it had been indicated that Kane was keen on leaving for Bayern and was waiting for the two clubs to agree on a transfer fee before the new season began.

Earlier reports today suggested that Bayern Munich and Tottenham had finally reached an agreement on the fee, leaving the decision in Kane’s hands.

According to Sky Sports, while the situation is still developing, the latest information indicates that Kane is leaning towards staying at Tottenham for the upcoming season.

“The latest information we have is that it is increasingly likely that Harry Kane will stay at Tottenham this season.

I have to stress that at this point we still have to wait as this is still a developing situation.

But what I have been told this afternoon is that it is increasingly likely that Harry Kane will stay at Tottenham this season.”

This news comes as massive twist in the ongoing transfer saga.

Harry Kane has only one year left in his contract and Tottenham have been trying their best to get him to sign the new contract exhausting all their options but with no indication that he is willing to sign a new deal, their next best option was to cash in on him.

Negotiations with Bayern Munich had progressed, and both clubs had reportedly agreed on a £100m fee.

TBH Says:

If Kane indeed chooses to stay at Tottenham despite the fee agreement, it might signal his intent to potentially make a free transfer move to another Premier League club next season.

This could align with earlier reports that Manchester United had expressed interest in signing him but were deterred by his high price tag.
