Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze.
The 26-year-old is expected to be on the move this summer and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can win the race for his signature. According to Fabrízio Romano on Give Me Sport, Tottenham are in contact with the player’s agent and it will be interesting to see if they come forward with an official proposal.
Romano said: “Man City had Eze on their list already last summer, while Tottenham have been in contact with his agents since February – the interest is absolutely still there but again, no bids yet.”
Eze scored 11 goals in all competitions last season and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for the North London club. He is capable of operating as the central attacking midfielder as well as a winger. He will add goals, creativity and flair to the side in the final third. His arrival will also allow Tottenham to rotate players like James Maddison more often.
The Crystal Palace attacker is likely to be tempted to join Tottenham if there is a concrete proposal on the table. It will be a step up in his career and he would get to compete in European football with them. In addition to that, Tottenham have a talented squad and they could easily push for trophies in the coming seasons.
Spurs need to improve their squad this summer if they are serious about pushing for trophies. Someone like Eze will certainly help them improve going forward. He is well-settled in the Premier League and he could make an instant impact at the North London club as well.
