Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has admitted that the north London club will look to sign a quality attacker this summer.
The Australian manager has revealed that Tottenham are lacking in depth when it comes to the attacking unit and they will look to sign a quality striker.
Postecoglou said via Fabrizio Romano: “It is still the area of the park we’re really probably the thinnest, at the moment. Obviously, that’s a focus for us”.
They have missed a clinical finisher since the departure of Harry Kane and they chose to use Son Heung-min as the centre forward last season. However, the South Korean international is more suited to the role of a wide player and Tottenham must look to bring in a reliable goalscorer this summer.
They have been linked with a host of names in recent weeks and it remains to be seen who they end up signing. They will be hoping to secure Champions League qualification in the upcoming campaign and they will want to do well in the domestic competitions as well.
Signing the right players will help them achieve their goals. A quality striker could transform them in the final third.
Tottenham have an exciting project and a talented squad. They have brought in a charismatic manager as well. It is fair to assume that quality players will be attracted to the idea of joining them. It remains to be seen whether they can plug the gaps in the squad this summer.
