‘that is something they will look at’: Journalist reveals Tottenham summer transfer plans

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have put together an exciting squad under Ange Postecoglou.

They are expected to improve the squad further at the end of the season. They have the bones of an impressive squad and a couple of top quality additions in the summer could help them compete for major trophies next season.

Journalist Charlie Eccleshare has now revealed that Tottenham need a quality winger who can penetrate the defences with his flair and ability to beat defenders in one-versus-one situations.

Jeremy Doku has made a similar impact at Manchester City and Eccleshare believes that Tottenham need a player like that. He added that it will be something that Tottenham will look at during the summer window.

He told The View from The Lane podcast: “I think they really need a winger in the Jeremy Doku mould who can take one their man, be really relentless and keep Spurs high up the pitch. They don’t have that kind of player and attacks often break down.

“Having someone like him who can force a defence back will be useful. That’s what Antonio Nusa, who they looked at, he was in that mould, so I think that is something they will look at in the summer.”

The London outfit have been linked with Antonio Nusa recently and the 18-year-old could certainly be a quality acquisition for them. He will add pace and flair from the wide areas and the Norwegian could develop into a key for Tottenham with the right guidance.

Nusa was expected to move to the Premier League during the January transfer window, but the transfer did not materialise. It remains to be seen with Tottenham can get a deal done in the summer.

The 18-year-old is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him, and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience. He could add a new dimension to the Spurs attack with his ability to beat defenders and carry the ball forward.
