Talks today: Spurs could be ready to sack Nuno

Tottenham are reportedly ready to consider sacking Nuno Espirito Santo just four months after hiring him as manager.

According to the Telegraph, the club are holding talks over Nuno’s future today as they weigh up making a possible change in the dugout after the team’s poor recent form.

Spurs were beaten 3-0 at home by Manchester United yesterday – the same Manchester United that were battered 5-0 by Liverpool just a week earlier.

It’s clear something needs to change as the performances are just as worrying as the results, with little sign of Nuno building anything positive for the north Londoners.

Harry Kane’s form has been awful, with Nuno failing to build enough of an attack-minded side to get the best out of a potentially world class striker.

Nuno did, admittedly, inherit a tricky situation given the Kane saga over the summer, but it’s still unsurprising that his future now seems to be in doubt after such a poor start to the season.
