Talks ongoing, Romano confirms 27-year-old will leave Tottenham before window closes

By Saikat -

Sergio Reguilón is prepared to leave Tottenham before the end of the transfer window and talks are ongoing with interested parties.

Tottenham have had quite a successful transfer window where they have signed some of their top targets to bolster their squad and have also parted ways with players who are surplus to requirements. While they have already offloaded quite a few players, there is still a bit of work to be done.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Sergio Reguilon is prepared to leave the North London club before the end of the transfer window and talks are ongoing to ensure he picks the best option available to him. The Spanish defender is not in the plans of Ange Postecoglou moving ahead. With his contract running out in 12 months, Spurs have been looking to cash in on him and there is no shortage of interest in his services.

Tottenham forked out a significant fee to sign the Spanish international from Real Madrid on the back of an impressive loan spell at Sevilla. While he was an integral part of their first team in the initial seasons, he has spent the last two 24 months out on loan. Reguilón has no intentions of continuing at the London club and is prepared to leave before the end of the transfer deadline day.

There is interest in his services from two Turkish giants in Besiktas and Galatasaray. Manchester United are also considering bringing him back to the club and Barcelona have also been linked with the 27-year-old as they look to add depth on the left flank.
