Striker with 17 goals and 5 assists last season wants to play for Tottenham

Tottenham are expected to have a busy transfer window, with the club expected to bring in several players and also make decisions regarding the futures of their current squad members.

One such player facing an uncertain future is youth talent Troy Parrott. The Irish international is keen to break into the first team, despite ongoing speculation about a possible departure.

According to Alasdair Gold from Football.London, Parrott wants to stay and succeed at Tottenham and is keen on making a strong impression during the pre-season to catch the eye of Ange Postecoglou.

The young striker is entering the final year of his contract, which expires in June next year. He had a standout campaign on loan at Excelsior in the Netherlands last season, where he scored 17 goals and provided 5 assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.

This impressive performance has attracted interest from clubs such as AZ Alkmaar, who are eager to sign the 22-year-old forward.

Despite the interest from other clubs, Parrott remains focused on his future with Tottenham.

Alasdair Gold highlights that Postecoglou will have the final decision on Parrott’s future, and the upcoming pre-season will be crucial for him to showcase his abilities.

Parrott joined Spurs’ youth team in 2017 and signed his first professional contract in 2019. Although he made his senior debut that same year, regular first-team opportunities have been limited, leading to several loan spells at clubs including Millwall, Ipswich Town, Milton Keynes Dons, and Preston North End.

Throughout these experiences, Parrott has shown his potential to perform at a high level, and his determination to succeed with Tottenham remains unwavering.
