“stretched all over the place” – Journalist details what is going on behind the scenes with Daniel Levy

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur are experiencing a turbulent time as they navigate a difficult season on and off the pitch. The club has been plagued by inconsistent performances, declining form, and early exits from all competitions.

In the wake of these issues, former manager Antonio Conte publicly criticised the team and owners, which ultimately led to his departure from the club. Additionally, director Fabio Paratici stepped back from his role amidst the ongoing financial scandal which has seen him and other Juventus officials get banned globally.

To make matters worse, star striker Harry Kane’s future at the club is uncertain, with the player yet to commit to a new contract amid interest from rival teams. This has left fans feeling frustrated and concerned about the future of the club.

Journalist Matt Law has claimed that chairman Daniel Levy is feeling the pressure of managing the various issues behind the scenes, with a high turnover of department heads and a lack of experienced individuals to rely on. This has resulted in a muddled decision-making process that could be contributing to the club’s struggles.

Speaking on Matt Hayes’ YouTube channel, journalist Matt Law said (14:00-):

“Look, in terms of him isolating himself. There’s been a massive change of heads of department over the last two years and going back from that, and it feels like he has less and less experienced people to lean on in these situations and to take charge of different departments and things.

“And I’ve had it said to me, that his he’s stretched all over the place because of this and he’s listening to so many different voices and the decision-making has become muddled. Now that’s just what’s been said to me.”

Tottenham will require significant changes both on and off the pitch, starting with finding a new manager who can rally the team for next season. However, an unstable working environment will discourage top tier manager and professionals from joining the club which is why it is very important for the club to resolve the issues brewing behind the scenes.

It remains to be seen how Tottenham will respond to these challenges, but fans are hopeful that the team can come out stronger and more competitive in the seasons to come.
